tiah (she/her) is a melbourne-based theatre director and stage manager.
beginning her career in 2021 as the production coordinator for realscape’s, ‘darkfield’, tiah helmed the show’s tour across australia for three years before freelancing. in such time, she has developed an impressive cv, leading acclaimed productions at the edinburgh, prague, adelaide and melbourne fringe festival, as well as with resident theatre companies and venues including: melbourne theatre company; victorian opera; patrick school of the arts; fortyfivedownstairs; and theatreworks.
in 2024, tiah made her directorial debut with ryan stewart’s new-work, ‘kinder’. from humble beginnings at melbourne fringe, the show has since completed interstate and international tours, received critical acclaim and multi-award-winning success. she is the recipient of the ‘audience choice’ and ‘pick of the fringe’ awards at the prague fringe festival (2026); ‘artistic director’s choice’ at the dublin international queer festival (2026); ‘best lgbtqia+ show’ at the edinburgh fringe (2025); the ‘best of theatre’ at the adelaide fringe (2025); as well as ‘the geelong creative development award’ at melbourne fringe (2024).
tiah has also assistant-directed on lucy prebble’s, ‘the effect’ (2026), as well as tomas parrish-chynoweth’s’, 'threadbare’ (2025).
as of july 2026, tiah has joined 16thst as part of their ‘director’s apprenticeship programme’. she is currently expanding upon a practice dedicated to rigorous creative and technical experimentation; empowering actors through story; and ultimately, producing work that champions sincerity and perspective

recently offered placement with renowned acting studio, 16thst, tiah is exploring the intersection of her experiences to date and that which she is yet to learn. she is currently developing a practice which: engages with active analysis, story theory and interpersonal psychology; encourages rigorous creative and technical experimentation; and, ultimately, produces work that aims to awaken the deepest sensations of an audience.
